Well, I forgot to tell all of ya.... I dont have factions, we have a baby on the way and were saving all our money for whatever expenses might come up.
So im working with a limited skill pool.

i can only recommend you try out with Mending + live vicariously, spamming adrenaline skills (hint Whirling axe). even after taking all spiders i dont need to use heal signet, and you dont have to put up healing hands or anything, just bash ur way thru, it actually works so well, im ashamed of mentioning it here ^^
i use whirling and the 2 penetrating blows, with 15-6 in axe and 8 in heal, the rest spread over str and tactics
is the fastest ive gone on this run

Except I will never touch axe, and you only need Healing Hands for the outside clearing as I've found Live Vicariously + Watch Yourself is more than enough to tank inside the cave.
And I'll probably drop Balthazar's Spirit for Silverwing Slash, speed it up more so the Final Thrust will always hit for double. (+43 +43 +86, oh boy oh boy)

Its cut my run times down a lot and works very well if the skills are done in the right sequence. You could always give it a try and tell me what you think afterwards.

I'm too attached to IAS stances.

used to think like you, now i got the half of my inventory (no kidding, i can SS to prove it..) with axes, swords, hammers.. and the occasional bow too ^^
its just dropping healing hands frees up an elite skill slot and whirling axe does a nice lil increase of your dps, especially if u got a furious axe with u, ive had it recharge about 4 times one after the other ^^
PS and ty for this whole thing btw, it really helped me in my GW career mad props for it

I thought of doing that, but there's something so dirty about bringing mending.

well skills are like this obviously:
Whirling Axe, Penetrating Blow, the faction duplicate of it (forgot the name..) or Executioners strike, sprint, dolyak, heal sign, mending, live vicariously
as far as i remember I used to have 8 in healing and 16 in axe, the rest spent over str and tactics, dont have the actual spread, not that crucial anyway
just use the enchantments when youre not facing dryders.. and whirling axe recharges very fast, so it gives u one less thing to worry about (wastrels worry is piss easy to cancel with it)
you can bring whatever elite skill you like, its a pretty safe run tbh
theoretically you could bring triple chop / cyclone axe (ud obviously need a way to get energy ^^) and pile up all the spiders outside to further make stuff faster, but itd be a bit slower on the inside of the cave/getting there parts imo
i feel good for actually revealing something^^. ive used mending since i ever read of this spider thing, tried mending + watchful spirit (5 regen, beat that) with battlerage, however this new setup does beat the speed on it a bit
*goes try a new build vs skales *
ps bah you bastids have favor again :F well i wont tell you the build then ;P

I use a -5 energy sword...but I only have two energy skills, and only one energy skill I use once I get to the spiders.
I wouldn't use a -10 armor weapon against the spiders.

I wouldn't use that either, but that's me.
Btw, what is the fastest run anyone can ever do with what build? (can we make a competition ?)
I seem always to have a around 45 min. run with triple chop w/me build.

I think I'm at around 35 minutes with my w/mo build... still need to try it with Silverwing Slash to see how much faster it gets.

The W/Mo build with swords is good once you reach the spider cave, but relies way too much on the monters spawns, bad spawn = dead or a lot of time wasted trying to get around it.
W/Me axe with triple chop seems to be the best in the average run and more simple to use.

Lets see, -2 from ascalon boots, -3 from superior absorption, -2 from shield, another -2 from shield... and hell, theres even a -1 (10%) on a wand somewhere. So that looks like 9 absorption I am personally playing with.

boots 12% chance wtf? its unconditional? and why would u use a wand??
if you feel u need that big of a dmg reduction, just look into a -2 -2 shield..
ive done this run even without a shield with dmg reduction, without eiher dolyak or
watch urself.. its not that hard
